I would recommend that you chop the tops off and cut them into sections to re-root. These all require quite bright light to stay compact. Also known as Senecio, Blue Chalk Sticks’ foliage is a most distinctive shade of frosted blue. I'm thinking this is some kind of Senecio, the same genus as the Blue Chalk Sticks, but most likely Senecio mandraliscae or another similar species. I've found blue chalk sticks, but those seem to be more "bushy" whereas mine is more "stalky".ĭrought Smart Plants says - thank you for the compliment!īridget, I'm curious where you have this - it almost looks like it needs more light. The plant is starting to look weird and I was trying to see how/if I should either plant or prune it but I don't know the name. Blue Fingers, also known as Blue Chalk Stick, is truly one of a kind. They started to topple over so I clipped them to bamboo sticks and they just kind of kept going! I move the sticks about once a month to keep them from toppling over again. Senecio serpens or Blue Chalksticks is an easy care species makes an excellent ground cover plant for a sunny position. In less than a year, these 4 stalks have grown this large from about 5". Prized for the shape and pretty color of its foliage, Senecio mandraliscae (Blue Chalksticks) is a spreading succulent from South Africa with 3-4 in. Looks like "Blue Chalk Sticks" but does not grow as they do.

This means you’ll have fewer wires to deal with and no additional receivers to acquire or connect. You'll also require a conventional subwoofer connection if you want more bass.Īctive refers to a soundbar that has built-in amplifiers to power everything and channel processors to distinguish between the left, right and center speakers. But that also means a passive soundbar is more expensive and requires you to connect more components. However, they do have better speakers, which results in better sound. Passive soundbars don't have internal power amplifiers, so they need a receiver or amplifier to function. When shopping for soundbars, you'll come across two different types: active and passive. 7-Channels – 7 speakers (same as 5-channel with a bonus: splitting surround and rear channel into 4).5-Channels – 5 speakers (a center, left, right, plus two surrounds).

Monitoring your testosterone levels is important because taking too much testosterone can have adverse effects like metabolic problems, while doses that are too low may induce a hypogonadism-like state and could cause significant losses in bone density. Keeping an eye on your testosterone levels is important for transgender men and transmasculine people using masculinizing HRT, also known as female-to-male testosterone therapy or simply T therapy.īefore you start T therapy, your healthcare provider will need to check your base levels of the sex hormones testosterone and estrogen so you can take an appropriate dose of T to achieve the level of masculinization you want.Ĭurrent guidelines suggest getting your levels checked every 3 months for the first year that you’re on HRT and every 6–12 months afterward. You may need to check your testosterone levels if you’re experiencing any symptoms associated with low T, regardless of your age or sex. Who needs their testosterone levels checked? In females, the testosterone levels produced in the ovaries are quite low, between 15–70 ng/dL, or. In males, testosterone levels should generally fall between 300–1,000 nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL), or 10–35 nanomoles per liter (nmol/L). A blood or saliva test can check the amount of testosterone your body is making. When your testosterone levels are too high (hypergonadism) or too low (hypogonadism), you may experience uncomfortable symptoms. A decrease in testosterone levels is a normal part of aging for people assigned male at birth, especially after age 30. I can set that start and stop point on the loop by hovering my cursor over the triangles on the right or left-hand side and clicking and dragging those triangles. Likewise, you're probably going to want to know how to set the start and stop points on your loop, both in the loop brace in the clip overview area, and also with the loop brace in the ruler up in the arrangement view area. So now if I right-click, I can see that I'm in adaptive grid, and if I go back down and hit Command 5 again and right-click again, now I can see I'm back in fixed grid. If you actually like adaptive grid at times and fixed grid at others, you can toggle that on and off using the number five. So now with the grid toggled off, we can see off down in the lower right-hand corner, and you can also see that the grid lines are now dashed instead of solid lines. So on a Mac, that would be Command 4, and on a PC, Control 4. You can toggle on and off the grid using the number four. At times, you'll also want to grab a note and move it and have it not constrained by the grid. That command will toggle on and off triplets for whatever rhythmic value that you currently have set as your grid. Now I'm on eighth notes, and if I wanted to switch this to eighth note triplets, I can do that using the number three plus the Command key on a Mac, or the Control key on a PC. One will make the grid smaller and two will make it larger. I remember that by remembering that one is less than two. So for example, if I want to make it smaller, I'll go Command 1, and if I want to make it larger, I'll go Command 2. On a Mac, it's all Command plus a number, and on a PC, it would all be Control plus a number, one through five. Then if you look over in the info view in the lower left-hand corner of the program, you'll see those same key commands displayed there. You can also see them if you point your mouse at the grid setting in the lower right-hand corner of the clip overview, or in the arrangement view. Here, you can see the five key commands for the grid setting displayed in the middle of that menu. You'll want to know where you can find those key commands, so let's go up to the options menu. I actually find the adaptive grid to be a bit annoying, so instead, I often will change the grid amount using a key command. Then if I zoom in and out, you can see that the grid amount is not changing. Currently, this is set at an eighth note, and if I want to change that to a sixteenth note or a quarter note, I can do that. Notice that we also can set this as a fixed grid. Let's right-click on the background there again. Let's click that clip up here on the bass track to re-display it here in arrangement view down in the MIDI editor area. As I hit my minus key and zoom back out, the grid is changing. I'm zooming in, and now I'm on a half note, and then a quarter note, and then an eighth note. So if I click somewhere on the timeline here and zoom in and zoom out, we'll see the same thing. If I tab over into the arrangement view, we'll also see that the grid is showing here in the lower right-hand corner of the arrangement view area. And if I hit my minus key to zoom back out, once, I'm on an eighth note, couple more times, I'm on a quarter note. Couple more times, I'm on a sixteenth note. If I click here in the middle and hit my plus button to zoom in, I'm now on an eighth note. What that means is, is that as you zoom in and zoom out, the grid will change with your zoom setting. If you need to change that grid, you can right-click, and we can see that, currently, we're on adaptive grid. Now, down in the clip overview, or MIDI editor area, we can see that the grid is set at a quarter note by looking down in the lower right-hand corner. Let's select this first clip on the pulse bass track by double-clicking on it. I've opened up exercise one from chapter five again. Understanding how to adjust the grid and loop length are a big help when working with MIDI notes in the MIDI editor, and familiarity with the related keyboard shortcuts will really speed up your workflow. 1/30/2024 0 Comments Shreveport weather radar in motionUse of this trademark is subject to Google Permissions. *Apple, the Apple logo, and iTunes are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. The WBRZ Weather app is available on the Apple App store or on Google Play! A lot can happen between 0 and 5,000 feet and therefore the depiction of precipitation given by radar may differ some from what’s actually happening on the ground. Because of this phenomenon, the radar beam will only see precipitation falling through the mid levels of the atmosphere. To see this in action, imagine a circle (earth) with a straight line emanating from some point on the circle if you continue this line out into space, it will gradually get farther and farther from the circle. Because the earth is round and the radar beam is flat, the farther away from the radar tower the beam (energy) travels, the farther removed from the ground becomes.
